Egotober Day 31: Happy Halloween
PLEASE NOTE: This is a continuation of 'Day 10/11' story Mark whistled as he put the keys into his pocket and opened the gates to the Dark Ego Department at Youtube. It was Halloween night, and all the dark egos were allowed to leave their sector for one night only; this was a rare public event, especially since another nightguard had gotten killed. Immediately Mark’s boss knew who the culprit was but wouldn’t tell him; it was only his first week after all. But it did worry him that this appeared to be a regular and completely normal occurrence; his boss just seemed mildly annoyed at ‘Franks’ death. Mark sighed as he looked out into the Dark Ego Department, then pushed a button on the outside of the gates. A loud shrill beep rang out, followed by multiple metal clanks and he suddenly felt nervous: the sound was all the dark ego’s room doors opening. As he watched from the gates, no one moved for a while. But then he heard it: the manic giggling of Antisepticeye

As Darkiplier cried, Henrik and Anti just stared at the monitor screen in Anti’s hideout. The area was so silent, a pin drop could’ve been heard as they just stared shocked and horrified at the image. Anti eventually blinked and tore his eyes away from the dismay, but he couldn’t bring himself to look at his older brother. ‘You could’ve teleported there…’ The doctor’s quiet voice eventually broke the silence. ‘How you do that?!’ Robbie squealed happily as he watched Dawktrap make a shadow bunny against the wall. Dawktrap smiled then looked at the shape, ‘I can show you if you want?’ he asked and chuckled as the zombie child gasped happily. ‘Yes please!’ the child screeched. Robbie, Dawktrap and Antisepticeye were in Robbie’s room and were making shadow puppets against the wall. Antisepticeye had placed a flashlight on the floor in front of them to help with making the shadows. By now, Robbie was sitting on the green glitch’s lap, amused as Dawktrap made various shapes including a T-Rex, a dog and a rabbit. Dawktrap chuckled, ‘Ok!’ he said happily, then looked at Anti; he had been quietly watching the two. ‘Hey, I bet you can’t do a better shadow than me!’ the purple ego smugly said, smirking. Anti blinked, surprised, then smirked too, ‘Oh, a challenge I see!’ he said excitedly. He then picked Robbie up and gently sat him on the floor, before getting up. The two of them watched him

Jackieboyman watched, concerned, as Chase locked the cuff round his own ankle then pulled on the thick metal chain that was attached to the radiator. ‘Chase…? Is this-er…well…enough or even necessary?’ Jackie asked unsure, and Chase looked up, frowning. ‘Well, I’d rather play it safe than…you know…’ he answered but then trailed off, not wanting to finish his sentence. The two brothers were in Chase Brody’s room, with Jackie sitting on the end of his bed. Chase was sitting on the floor and had stripped down to his boxers. He hadn’t finished his sentence because he knew that, if he didn’t take this precaution, then his brothers would end up dead. A few months ago, Chase had returned from a walk covered in blood and three thick slashes cutting across his torso. Yet, miraculously, he was still alive but very shaken. While Henrik had bandaged him up, Chase had spluttered about a huge, strange wolf. If it wasn’t for Antisepticeye’s reaction, the doctor would’ve just tried to calm him

Was it the roar that had alerted Jackieboyman to upstairs or the entire upstairs suddenly turning red? It wasn’t even when a chair flew into the upper hallway; it was when all of the walls started to bleed that the superhero took notice of the issue upstairs. Clutching his cattleprod, he warily climbed the stairs, making sure not to lean into the bloodied walls; he wasn’t sure if it was an illusion or not. As he climbed, he couldn’t help but be thankful that Robbie was with Chase at the moment; the child didn’t need to see this. ‘Anti…? You ok…?’ he called out nervously. He had heard about Antisepticeye’s monstrous temper tantrums before but had yet to witness it himself. It was terrifying enough already and he hadn’t even seen the glitch yet! A demonic screech responded, emitting from the glitch’s bedroom. Jackie inhaled, mentally preparing himself, then went to Anti’s room and slowly opened the door and peeked in. His eyes then widened at what he saw. The bedroom was a mess:

The fields were quiet and peaceful. Birds flew around and rabbits happily ate the grass by the hill. Everything was quiet…except for… ‘WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!’ Two rabbits snapped their heads up as they heard the excited child before hopping away, terrified. A few moments later, a lavender haired boy appeared on top of the hill, a huge smile on his face. He wobbled around, clearly looking for something. ‘Robbie…wait…for me…’ Chase Brody breathlessly called out as he closely followed. He then stopped once he could see Robbie and stood up straight, placing his hands on his back. He had happily accepted the offer of babysitting Robbie for Anti and had asked the child what he wanted to do today. ‘Go to big park!’ Robbie had squealed excitedly, referring to the nearby hilly field. Chase had smiled and agreed; Anti, however, had looked alert. ‘The kid’s fast on his feet so take ya running shoes’ Anti had warned Chase. Chase had brushed it off. Chase was an idiot. As he

Marvin looked up at Dawktrap unsure and thought as he sat behind his desk. ‘Well…I’d rather do the spell now to see if they’re going to be comfortable on your head’ the magician said slowly. Dawktrap’s glowing purple eyes brightened, hopeful, ‘so that’s a yes?’ Marvin rolled his eyes as he reached for the spell book at the end of the desk, ‘it might be a yes, depending on if they’re comfortable’ he reminded him sternly before flipping through the old parchment pages of the leather-bound book. A few days ago, Marvin’s brothers had started talking about what they were going to dress as for Halloween. But they hadn’t realized that Dawktrap had been listening in on the conversation. He had then asked what costume would suit him, to which Robbie had suggested a ‘rabbit with sticks’ aka a Jackalope. Seeing as it’s a mythical rabbit creature, Dawktrap had quickly accepted the idea and Marvin thought he would just purchase a headband. But, to his surprise, the purple man had come to him to

‘Kitty! Can I put the soogar on now?!’ ‘The name’s Marvin and not yet sweetheart’ Marvin the magician said softly to Robbie the zombie. The two of them were in the kitchen and by the oven. The child zombie was standing on a chair next to Marvin and happily watching him, while the magician cut the dough into little shapes. With October just starting, Robbie, the little child zombie, had asked if he could make Pumpkin shaped cookies. Antisepticeye had happily said yes, but Dr Schneeplestein had been more wary, worried that the child would get hurt. So, he had insisted that someone help him with baking. Marvin smiled softly as he looked at the baking tray fill of pumpkin shaped dough, ‘Ta-da!’ he announced happily then turned to Robbie, and his expression turned to confusion: Robbie was pouting, his arms folded. ‘What’s wrong?’ the magician softly, concerned. ‘I wanted to put the soogar on the pumpkin…’ Robbie mumbled, his bottom lip hanging out. Marvin looked sympathetic and

The near elderly man’s legs were starting to feel like they were on fire…he’d been running for so long. One moment he had been happily enjoying a meal with his family and the next he had collapsed from his chair, eyes bulging and his hand on his chest. His family went from happy to confused to worried as they tried to help him, but his heart attack was quick and, worse, it was fatal. That was when he had seen it. A human shaped figure dressed in a black torn hooded cape was stood by the restaurant doorway, staring straight at him. The ripped bottom cloth of the cape revealed the figure’s feathery Velociraptor-like legs and feet. While one of its hands resembled that of a skeleton, the other, which was raised to the figure’s chest, had huge claws that looked similar to Scythes. Green glowing eyes stared out from its hood, its stare blank yet determined. The man stared back, eyes wide in panic: he knew what this figure was. He had heard stories about this…thing…chasing its victims

The Infection: Good Ending Epilogue
It had been quite some time since Dawko had gone back to the Surface, thus ending the horrific reign of terror that Dawktrap had brought upon the Void. Once Dawko had been returned, Henrik, Marvin, Anti and Dark had set up another call with Jack, Mark and MatPat to give them the good news. Jack had immediately offered to visit Dawko since he lived in the same country, to which the egos had been thankful for. A change that the egos had hoped for, but weren’t sure about, was whether the Sander Sides would return to their regular selves. But, thankfully, they did; the moment the gateway had closed up, Henrik had gotten a call from a distraught Virgil that he didn’t know why they were trying to raid Jackie’s house. But Henrik had assured him that everything was ok now and had also apologized for telling him that they’d be safe from the purple ego. Unfortunately, the thing that couldn’t be changed were the deaths. Henrik had argued with Marvin about trying to resurrect Chase, Wilford and
